weekly update

Hope everyone had a great
St. Paddy’s day
yesterday and didn’t drink toooo much ‘green’ beer..lol. Darrin and I went out for dinner and I was able to have a little cheat meal with some candy for dessert afterwards at home. It was great!!

MY COMPETITION PREP IS NOW IN ACTION!!
Many of you who follow my blog have probably read and realized by now that I am currently dieting. I had to verify my qualification before I made my announcement that I'm going back to compete at the Canadian Nationals this year in Edmonton. It was a big decision but I’m very excited. This year when I do go back to the National stage, my physique will be a lot different than last year. I will be going in lean and “compact”. I’m not getting my hopes up as we all know judging in figure can very controversial, however I am focused and determined to look the better than I ever have. The countdown is on and I’m currently 15 weeks out. I have chosen to do a longer prep this year so my body and conditioning will have plenty of time to get it together. My fellow ‘team Emerge” member, Kelly Kuus will also be going to Edmonton to compete in the Figure Masters. Kelly began her prep last week.

More news…
I’m very honored and excited to announce I will also be sponsored by KHP designs for the 2007 competitive season!! Karen is an incredible friend and very talented suit designer and I’m honoured to be able to wear her creations. Thank you Karen from the bottom of my heart!!

As we approach the first OPA show of the year in Stratford. I would like to wish everyone currently preparing for it all the best!! It’s just under 5 weeks away and the final countdown is on for these athletes. Team Emerge will have one member making her OPA debut in this Show. Pauline, who is a very close friend of our family, has been working with Darrin for the past few months bringing her conditioning & physique up to “show quality” and we are very pleased with her progress and determination. She looks great and her entire presentation on stage is going to be phenomenal. Keep up the good work Pauline, it will pay off.

Pauline and I went to visit KHP designs on Friday for her first suit fitting, and as always Karen was amazing. Pauline chose her material and her suits are going to “sparkle”. I can’t wait to see them.

I’ve been addicted to “facebook” for the past 2 weeks. I can’t believe how many people I have reunited with from my past…I think my whole highschool class is on there!! It’s been incredible and finally being able to talk to Cherylynn (my best friend of 29 years!!!) again is simply the best feeling!! I tend to lose touch with a lot of people by not keeping in contact but when you have that closeness in your heart, it could be 1 day or 3 years that you don’t see someone but you know if you call that person they will always be there for you no matter what.

thanks loriann. You will be seeing me again. Every flipping store and our 1 gym around here has either overweight or young people working in them. Not the places where I would go to get "health" advice from.

thank you.
