Happy Birthday
Tammy and Paul!
We celebrated Tammy's and Paul's Birthdays on the August 1st long weekend at the cottage! Our family knows that we always celebrate their birthdays on this weekend and this year it was better than ever!! Darrin and I went up and spent a couple days with my sister, Paul and mom:):) I headed up on Saturday and Darrin unfortunately couldn't make up until late Saturday night but he finally made it there and was able 
to unwind, relax
and celebrate with us!! Throughout the entire weekend we had many many laughs, lots of good food and lots of drinks!! I baked new goodies and the biggest hit was my chocolate chip cheese ball! I think we were all carbed-out by the
end of the weekend.

end of the weekend.We brought the "kids" up with us too...Rio, Ashley, Roo, and Joey. Poor Roo...he doesn't like travelling much so it took him a couple days to recover..lol. Rio and the others absolutely loooooooooooooooooooooove the cottage and don't mind travelling one bit!!
Our cottage is my absolute favourite place to go to "get away" but unfortunately the past couple of years..we haven't gone up much.........
....but that will be changing as our priorities to take more time for ourselves is taking precedence. Life is too short to miss out on the things we love in life. We haven't seen my extended family since Christmas so there was
a lot of catching up to do and
visiting. It was nice. During one visit on Saturday night, my sister had to take Rio for a walk with us cause a couple nights before I wiped out down my stairs and dislocated my finger. At least I had lots of alcohol to get me through the pain..lol.. and a great sister willing to walk my crazy puppy!! I do have to go and get my finger looked at and have it straightened back out...ouch!! I'm not looking forward to that! Tuesday, at the store, my friends noticed I was favouring my finger and told me I have to go to the doc's....I'm not one to go to the doctors and my close friends and family know that---therefore they have to push (or give me a swift kick in the a$$) me go..lol. My workouts this past week have been a little uncomfortable and I had to skip doing my arms and shoulders as my finger was too sore to grip and lift any weight.Here's one last pic from the weekend:
I was the photographer for this one!!!Thank goodness I had a handsome model to make me look good!

Thanks Jen!! I have a few more photos of Darrin that were taken that day too..i'll post them in the coming weeks:)
There is A LOT of exciting news and stuff happening in our life right now..and we are anxiously awaiting to let the world in on it all! But you'll have to wait a little longer as there are still some details that are being finalized:):):)

my finger hurts! but i'm dealing with it...i'm going to get it looked at and hopefully fixed tomorrow (thursday)....ouch!!
So, when's the Emerge Studio finally opening? Are you still thinking about the Harvester Location? Can't wait. You should change the store name to reflect Darrin's Studio, like EMERGE NUTRITION would be perfect!

Emerge is almost ready to announce some BIG THINGS that are happening....you'll have to be patient and keep check'n back for updates and all the news:):)
Harvester location? geesh...that was a passing thought months ago.as for "emerge nutrition"...hmm...i only told that to a select number of people..i wonder who the anonymous poster is??? but regardless...Darrin has bigger and better plans in the works...its very exciting:):)
Darrin has been working countless number of hours in preparation for the "launch" of the Emerge empire!

Hey girl! Its on Lake Erie...the drive is only about 45minutes...and we don't have to sit in traffic all day cause its the opposite direction from Toronto. We've had the cottage in our family for my entire life and we absolutely LOVE it up there. You will have to come up sometime:):):)
