HAPPY EASTER!

I thought I'd take a few moments to write in here, while the guys are playing their video games waiting for the UFC payperview to start
Happy Easter Everyone:)
Since I'm dieting the Easter family get togethers are not an option so we had a great bbq dinner tonight to celebrate. Darrin bbq'd shrimp and veggies for me and he and Mark had steak, veggies, garlic bread and a couple different salads. It was soooo tastey as always.
It's been another busy week, not very eventful though. Dieting and training are going well and I'm really starting to see changes in my body. Today we met with Kelly to go over some more posing and "WOW", this girl looks great!! She has two more weeks to go before her first show and she's definitely ready to go!! You can see her picture on Darrin's site (she's the only one in client section with abs!) She has really improved since those pictures were taken and looks even more amazing.
I talked to Karen (khp) this week and she has almost finished my one piece suit (you can see my suit in the pics in the post below- but it will look completely different this season)..I can't wait to see it. I also went and priced some flights to Edmonton today and I will go and book that next week along with the hotel. I can't believe there only 11 weeks to go until the Nationals.
This Thursday I'll be doing a demo at my gym (Goodlife-Burlington) from 5-9 during their anniversary celebration. I'll have tones of samples, info, draws, coupons and much more. Its usually a great turnout and I get to see many of the members whom I rarely get to see due to the fact I workout in the afternoon.
I received some bad news this morning from my friend Jackie (aka Jake)...she unfortunately had an accident earlier this week and dislocated her knee. She was scheduled to compete at the level 2 Mississauga OPA competition in May but doesn't think its an option now.
Get Well soon, and we'll see you on stage sooner than you think!!
I also want to wish Mindi (O'brien) good luck as she competes this weekend at the New York pro show! I'll be posting the results on our forum when they are announced.
Happy Anniversary
to Dick and Kay
(Darrin's parents)
as they celebrated yesterday!
Well, that's all for now, UFC's starting....gotta go and watch!

Thanks for the compliment on the photograph, it's one of my favourites:) My brother-in-law shot it at my cousins wedding. I'm sure Jackie will be up and "running" in no time.

Happy Easter Lori-Ann, it sounds like the exciting stuff is already happening!! I hope your friend heals quickly and that you and Darrin have a lovely Easter with your families. I just got a 12-pack of chocolate easter eggs from Mum... so much for me asking her if she had to buy chocolate make it small and expensive *rolls eyes*... LOL!! Oh well, won't need to buy chocolate for comp night because I am ALL stocked up!! xxx

Em-i'm getting soooo nervous:) I'm already having issues sleeping, the show just keeps running through my mind. I have friends that are competing before me so that is helping me by foucussing on them and not me. But my prep is coming along very nicely.
Rae-hey, what a good idea--i should have asked for a whole basket of chocolate from the easter bunny, forgot about having for the show.lol.
Happy Easter to everyone once again, you are all so awesome and supportive--you make me feel great when i read these posts, thank you from the bottom of my heartxox:)

Thanks everyone for your kind get- well wishes. Thanks especially to Lori Ann for mentioning me in her blog, she is always so good to talk to when I'm down. The knee is slowly recovering. I have decided to discuss some training with Darrin for the November show. He has a lot more experience than I do in training with an injury. Anyhow, hope everyone had a good holiday.

Jake, you are good friend and r always there for me too:) We all know how hard you've worked in the off season and we feel sooo bad that you can't compete next month. But now you'll just have a little longer to prep, thats all--then we'll see you shine again on stage!! And yes, Darrin is a fountain of knowledge and would be ideal for you to work with! I think you two would get along great!!

I laughed at your comment about getting nervous and having trouble sleeping!! I don't know whether they do it in your figure comps, but here in Australia you do a 60-90 second posing routine to music. I start running through it in my head when I get in to bed and find it hard to get to sleep because I am lying there tensing up where I am supposed to hit the poses... not a good relaxation technique... LOL!! xxx

Jake, I really hope the injury heals because nothing would suck more than all that training and not being able to compete next month. If the worst comes to worse and you can't, I hope there is another show around the corner to work toward :)

Thanks raec, unfortunately May is out for me. There is a show in November that I will shoot for. We dont have the posing to music in figure, not that I'm at all sorry about that. I believe Lori-Ann would agree.

Yes I absolutely agree with Jake...I cramp up just holding those 1/4 turns. I can only imagine with the bodybuilders go through...thank goodness for figure!!
